Sister Teresa Currie receives Citizen Recognition Award from the City of Charlottetown

This award "recognizes extraordinary Charlottetown residents that go above and beyond to positively impact the people and community around them" as stated by the City of Charlottetown.

 

In the afternoon of July 29th Sister Teresa was honored at City Hall for her long years of caring for the less fortunate. Her many years of service in prison ministry first on PEI and then for over 30 years in Springhill have been truly a gift to prisoners and their families within the Atlantic region.

The new Leadership Team was installed on the Feast of St. Martha, July 29th, 2021, with a special Mass.

From left to right are: Sister Kathleen Bolger (1989-1997), Sister Lauretta White (1997-2005), Sister Rosalia Kane (2005-2009), Sister Rosemary MacDonald (2009-2017), Sister Lorraine Chaisson (2017-2021) and Sister Gemma Dunn (2021-2025).
